The 2013 National Championship & The Labels
(Terrible Picture. Sorry)
The BCS Championship game stunk. Thankfully, our company didn't! Eleven of us sat comfortably in Dan's Man Cave as we witnessed Alabama annihilate Notre Dame 42-14. It was pathetic. And really boring. Definitely, the jokes being told and the stories being shared were much more entertaining than the game itself. Adam and I are really enjoying our new friends and are thankful that we've found such a sweet group of baseball guys and families to spend time with.
Ok. Take a deep breath and bare with me.
Two of my girlfriends that also do 365 have this thing on their blogs called "Labels." And for the longest time, I thought they were a good idea but knew it would take me hours and hours to complete. I'm assuming that both Susan and Diane started their labels when they first started their blogs. Makes sense. But when I started mine, I didn't know about them. To make a long story short, I created labels on my blog all day yesterday. I went meticulously through every single - every single - one of my 484 blog posts and edited each one with a label(s). If the blog had Adam on it, for instance, I labeled it "Adam." If the same blog post had food in it (like the blog above), I also labeled it "food." Here's why:
Now on my blog, you can scroll down the right side of the page and find groups of blog posts that all have something in common. It was a lot of work, but I'm really proud of the result. With these labels, it's easy to see what we've been doing these past 16 months. Dominating our days so far: answered prayers (praise God!), Adam, Kendall, baseball, friends, firsts, funny, and food. Yep, that sounds about right.
Yeah for labels! You'll be glad you did them. :) So enlighten me, what are the first couple labels: the 4 digit numbers? Zip codes missing a number is all I could come up with?!
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm so excited about them! And the numbers...maybe I should have been more clear about them, whoops! (Maybe I'll just re-label)...they're all the address numbers we've lived in so far. 4472 was our first apartment here in Jupiter, then 5517 in Greensboro, then 1136 here now! Thanks for pointing that out Diane! Miss you and hope Pullman is treating you well! The snow looks so fun! Tell those beautiful kids hi from us! :)
ReplyDeletelove the labels...has made it a lot easier to select a day at random. Thanks!
