The First Full Moorean Day
Walking to breakfast has never been more beautiful. Right
outside our bungalow, the view is immaculate. The waters here are crystal clear
and the bluest blues and teals we’ve ever seen. It’s magical.
Directly behind our bungalow, a little inlet enhances the
view of a most lush and jagged mountain peak in the richest shades of green
imaginable.
Maybe 100 yards from our hut, the gym bungalow is nestled
neatly in the corner of the resort. Not many people use this little gem, but
Adam had no problems finding it and making it his own. We’re convinced that
we’re the only guests who've even seen this place…simply because they offer
FREE water here. And that’s something special. Because a bottle of water on
Moorea can run you a pretty penny. We spent 8 bucks on a liter of water before
we learned how to swindle the operation.
This is the view directly out the back left of our room. Our
little lagoon is the simplest definition of paradise. The bungalow we’re
staying in is half on land, half on water – just like these ones – and it’s
wonderfully romantic!
I wasn’t feeling the best yesterday – a mixture maybe of the
sickness I caught back in Washington, the extreme emotions that came with that
week, and the long plane ride here – so Adam enjoyed both our shares of fun. He
went crazy yesterday. He told me that living with him for the rest of my life
is going to be just like having another oversized kid around. I’ll take that!
Adam was jumping off things, flipping off things, and drinking yummy things
while doing it. He’s the best.
After long, relaxing, and perfect hours of snorkeling,
swimming, and “tanning,” the two of us enjoyed our first Moorean sunset. We
must be on the opposite side of the island because we couldn’t actually watch the sun set, but we could watch the sky paint itself from
blue to pink to purple to black. And
Adam watched it from the warmth of our little lagoon.
