The True Colors
So Kendall has been attending cross-fit workouts this past week to experiment and test out these unorthodox workouts we've heard people talk about so much. Turns out, she didn't just enjoy the workouts, she met some really cool people that hang out fairly regularly. With Halloween coming up, the Cross-fitters threw a Hillbilly Bash, and we were invited! Kendall and I were back and forth all day deciding if we would have time to hang out, with all the Trunk-or-Treat work left to be done. We decided to throw some costumes together and go meet some new people. It was expected that everyone bring their own snack, so with limited time, Kendall stuck some pretzel sticks inside some upside down Reeses (witches brooms) and "glued" some Hershey's Kisses on some chocolate covered cookies(witch's hats) we had a blast admiring the other's costumes, watching some college football, The World Series, and best of all, relaxing.
Kendall's treats were phenomenal, but this cake is one of a kind for sure. I can't say for sure what it is totally comprised of, but to the best of my knowledge, this cake went untouched all night...perhaps the others were as cautious and intimidated by its awesomeness as I was. or maybe it just looked to good to dismantle.
I wasn't born in Kentucky, I wasn't raised in the south, and I don't have a southern accent. But I feel awfully comfortable in a sleeveless button up shirt, boots, and a camo hat. Always have, always will. I suppose enough of my old man's upbringing rubbed off on my brother and I.
