Day Three Hundred and Thirty

The Nordstrom Hog Snapper

Today was the last day of Nordstrom's Anniversary sale. And to add just a bit more incentive to shop, there was no tax on clothing or shoes. Hmmm, I thought. I found myself lost in the craziness of the sales, but ended up discovering some pretty stellar deals. Adam was needing some shorts (he only had 4 pairs before today) and I found some $50 retail priced ones for only $25!!! Score! He's proven quite difficult to shop for lately. He's tall (duh), but right now, he's in between sizes 34 and 36. And with plans of getting to 215 pounds by next Spring Training, it's complicated things even further. So, I decided to take the initiative, buy him 36s, and demand that he fit into them soon. Turns out, they fit perfectly right now. Oh gosh. I don't know about this whole weight-gain thing. He's not going to fit into any of his clothes come February! Uhhhhh!

We needed a picture together. It's been too long. So at tonight's game, I told him to stand, put on a smile, and look pretty. The last part wasn't hard for him whatsoever. Look how big he is!!

If you know anything about the Conley's food preference, you'd know immediately that we hate fish. Hate it. So much. Even the smell makes us mad. Haha :) Kidding. But really, we don't like it one bit. BUT, tonight, we both decided to suck it up and try a piece of sushi. VEGETABLE sushi, that is. No fish. No thank you. But still, there was seaweed, so it sorta counts! And surprisingly, we didn't gag. Progress. That's what I'm talking about.

We went to the Hog Snapper for dinner. And it was super neat. I think super deserves a duper, actually! ;) It's a local sushi hut in Jupiter, and one that we had no idea existed until tonight. What a bummer! Talk about some good food! (Yes, they serve normal people food, like chicken and steak!).

Oh hi Bill! Thanks for dinner tonight! He's our friend from the Thanksgiving Feed we did last November, and also...my boss! We had a wonderful time this evening and appreciate, so much, everything that he's done for us already! The Lord is SO GOOD!!

Oh, and for the record, Adam thinks professional badminton is something of a joke. And I quote, "Why don't you go to a cookout with your family, have a beer, and beat them there? Badminton is no way to represent your country. I work really hard to be really good at something that's incredibly hard to be really good at. And these guys are on TV, at the pinnacle of their career, playing badminton. Badminton. What is that?" Well, thanks for that rant, Adam!
DISCLAIMER: Adam was being sarcastic. He was making a joke. A joke. Don't take it to heart, all you Badmittoners.
