Day Two Hundred and Forty-Six

The Sweet Surprises

A week ago, I didn't realize the impact Alejandra would have on my life. In a few short days, we've become extremely close. Closer than I would have ever expected. The Lord placed her in my life at the perfect time. And for that, I am so thankful. This photo might not look like much, but it speaks volumes of the friend I've been given. She's got the sharpest memory and the sweetest heart. The other day, we discovered that the both of us use the same mascara. I told her that mine was getting old and that I needed to get a new one. Today, she showed up to my house with a Macy's bag. In it was a brand new mascara. She said, "I remembered that you needed one, and also that your Love Language is gift giving." She's incredible.

With the boys coming home in just a few hours, a refrigerator re-stock was in order. The Three Homemakers (like Three Muskateers, right?!) made our way to Wal-Mart in preparation for their arrival. They certainly won't be going hungry any time soon! Holy food!!!

This is what dinner looks like when Addi cooks. I have so much to learn! Stuffed peppers with ground turkey, rice, cheese, and cucumber salad. She's a cook and isn't afraid to show it! Outstanding stuff right there! Gosh, after tonight, I feel like I've been feeding Adam scraps. Poor guy. I promise to learn more, Sweet Man!

A homecoming wouldn't be complete without a surprise. Well, here's their surprise! After a ten-hour bus trip, these Snicker cupcakes are sure to help them remember just how much we love them! And they better remember because if these dangerous treats stay in our house much longer than tonight, we're going to have problems! Sooooo delicious! Again, nice work Addi! (Ok, Alejandra and I kind of helped too!).
