Day Two-Hundred and Forty-Seven

The Greensboro Gloom

It's not often that the "Best Seats in the House" are empty. It's even more rare that they'd be occupied by a couple of Greensboro Grasshoppers. Well tonight, the dismal weather offered the boys a chance of a lifetime. With a shockingly low attendance (we normally play in front of 5,000 or more), the seats were up for grabs when the dreaded tarp came out.    I highly doubt that this will ever happen again in either of their careers, so of course, I had to commit it to photographic memory!

Wife: "Hey Honey, what did you do at work today?"
Baseball Husband: "Oh you know, I sat on a recliner and watched videos from a Jumbo Screen. It was really stressful."

Tonight's culprit: the relentless rain. On days like these, I secretly wish, hope, and pray for rainouts (except when Adam pitches). I hate sitting in the misty mess and would much rather be snuggled up to my best friend watching a movie at home. Well tonight, they called the game after the 7th inning! Wahoo! Lightening was crashing down, and the rain, well, you know it's bad when you can't walk into it without a garbage bag over your body!

Oh! And tonight, Adam and I enjoyed a home cooked Uruguayan meal, prepared by Alejandra. I think I need to move to Uruguay. And soon! Mmmmm.
