The Giggly Girls
It's been quite the day. Our morning arrived bright and early: noon, to be exact. Late nights = even later mornings. The drowsiness didn't have a chance to set in, however. We immediately got up, put on some clothes, headed out to "breakfast" and came back to this. P90X baby! With only 2 hours before game time, Alejandra and I snuck in an hour long, butt-kicking workout. Well, worth it. Especially considering tonight's late dinner. It's 2:30 AM, I have to drive 9 hours tomorrow, and I'm really tired. Therefore, I've added a few extra photos to tell the story of today, instead of my many words.
With P90X behind us, we sped to the field and made it to the game just in time for the first pitch. Jose threw tonight. A quite impressive outing, once again. He's our first-rounder, and such a wonderful person to have in our lives.
Following our 5-1 victory, we jumped in the car and headed to dinner. Quite obviously, Adam doesn't fit too well in a Toyota Corolla. Ok Honey, I finally understand your truck obsession now.
It's been a sort of "girls weekend" for Alejandra and I. And tonight, the boys let us throw a few back in celebration. Totally unexpected, but we did enjoy a few drinks. This happens very rarely, but sometimes, it's ok to let your hair down.
The four of us have enjoyed a wonderful trip to NJ. Both of the boys pitched incredibly, but even more, I've found a friend that will forever remain close to my heart. There's few people in my life that I can laugh with like I do with Alejandra, and I'm excited for the many memories we'll get to share together.
Oh, and because it was funny:
Jose is from Cuba. Tonight, he was explaining to us that Cubans don't have toilet paper. None. (Can you imagine?) Instead, they use newspaper. And to that, he said, "Cubans might not have toilet paper, but they have the only butts in the world that can read!"
Goodnight!
