The Day Exhaustion Set In
I. Am. Tired. Real tired. This morning, Adam and I woke up at 4 AM Eastern time for my 6 AM departure from Greensboro's tiny airport. (And I only got about 2 hours of sleep last night too, mind you). For twelve hours, I traveled across the country, and finally, FINALLY, landed in Spokane. Waiting for me was Mama, Ellie, and Hunter. And a white rose in LittleMan's hand. So sweet.
Not three hours later, Mom and Dan lured me to the Bike Hub. A 20 mile bike ride? You bet. Drained of all energy, and more tired than I can remember, I rode that thing as best I could, and managed to keep up with Mom and the rest of the pack. And gosh, I am so happy they made me go. Not only did I burn off a stupid amount of calories, I also got to spend precious time with my Mom. And those are memories that can never be replaced. So fun.
And just as you'd expect, P90X doesn't stop for travel. Not even for 12 hours of it. And certainly not for a 20 mile bike ride. And so, at 9 PM, immediately after the ride, I pushed play. And there by my side was Hunter, the world's best workout partner. During the portion of the workout called "Ab Ripper X," Hunter decided that the best place for him to sit was directly on me. This is me learning how to multitask as a mom and an athlete. I've yet to perfect the art, but in time, I'm sure I'll have it mastered. Until then, Ab Ripper X might find me giggling through the sweaty mess of ab-ripping intensity.
I've been up for 24 hours. I'm tired. And Adam's not here. Tonight's going to stink.
(Miss you Handsome Man!! XOXO)
