Day Two Hundred and Twenty

The Hotel P90X-er

It's my fifth week of P90X, and you bet, I'm still going strong! I brought two carry ons for my three days of travel while visiting New Jersey. One rolly bag and one backpack. (Go me!). Half of my backpack was equipped with everything P90X, and I'm so happy I chose to go the route of Tony Horton. It's a gym I can literally take anywhere. Even to tiny hotel spaces! Nothing beats it! After countless hours at Gold's, confused and not seeing the results I was looking for, I decided to give this new type of workout a try. And it was money well-spent. No more gym dues, no more waiting for equipment. Perfect for this crazy lifestyle I'm living!

If you're unfamiliar with P90X, I'll give you a quick run-down. Basically, it's a 90 day workout program you do at home. On DVD. Each day is scheduled for a specific workout, with the ultimate goal being muscle confusion. Confuse your body enough, and the weight will melt off you. And, it actually does. Best part? You don't ever have to write a workout plan! Oh, and the losing weight thing. That's always a plus.

Today, I did a plyometric workout. It's easily my least favorite and most sweaty day of the week...but gosh, it feels great when I finish!! Dripping from my eyes, nose, chin, and neck, the sweat pours out of my body and every time, I'm amazed. You just don't burn calories like that in a normal day at Gold's. My favorite part of the workout comes at the very end of the DVD: the sport's bonus round. Tony has us pitch, shoot jump shots, and do the Heisman. And you know that when time comes for the baseball portion, I'm thinking about what pitch I'd use to wipe out Adam if he was standing in the box.
