Day Two Hundred

The Big Comfy Couch

I think that was the name of a children's show growing up? Maybe? Hmm? I must not have been that fond of it?

Well, this couch certainly tops any with a similar description. It could almost be considered as dangerously comfy...get too far in, and you won't want to come back out! Thankfully, everyone managed to keep their eyes and minds focused tonight, even though every single one of those boys was feeling the toll of Spring Training. We enjoyed our last Bible Study with Baseball Chapel this evening, with some wonderful men and women who share in this crazy life of ours. The Marlins, like every Major League team, have what's called "Chapel" on Sunday, in which the men get together to study God's Word. They also organize a Bible Study for the guys during the week, where they can enjoy fellowship, food, and scripture in a very relaxed and personal setting. The entire clubhouse is invited to attend, so Adam decided that he'd go last month, and has been going ever since. And when he found out about the wives Bible Study they did alongside the men's, he pushed me to go, and I too, have been going ever since. And I'm so thankful that I took that leap. The women have spoken so boldly into my life, and have truly given me a glimpse of what a Christ-filled life in the world of baseball looks like. It isn't easy. Sometimes it isn't fun. But this platform is what we've been entrusted with, and in the end, that's what matters most.

Tonight, for the last study of Spring Training, they combined the two groups, and we enjoyed a perfect time with each of them. For the second night in a row, we've had to say goodbye, but hopefully soon, we'll see them again.

And one more picture. I had to. LOOK AT THIS! AH! It's almost too much to handle! So sweet. Adam definitely got his baby fix tonight. And his Lego fix too.
