Day One Hundred and Seventy-Three

The House Hunters

Meet Mike. He's our landlord. And our recently acquired real estate agent. He does it all and we're so thankful for his help. Born and raised in New York, Mike spent many of his working years on the floor of the stock market. And boy, can he talk! Now he's the owner of several properties down South, working his mad people skills to find the best deals. Today, he showed us a 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo right across our parking lot. Within the past few weeks, Adam and I have spent some serious time considering the big step of buying our first home. With housing prices at record lows and mortgage rates even lower, it's been painful watching rent leave the bank account every month. You're supposed to get something for your money, right?! And because we see ourselves in Jupiter every offseason, it just seems like the logical decision to buy something here in order to add some stability to our looming crazy lives. Plus, the extra bedroom would give us a place to "store" all our future guests...and that's what's really driving this consideration, after all ;) We'll see how the process goes, without expectations, praying continually for clarity and discernment. It's definitely on the back burner, inching slowly toward the one up front, and we're excited to see where this idea takes us.

PS...can you believe Adam's hair?! I love it :)
