The Super Tuesday
Super Tuesday. In more ways than one.
Meet Joe Urbon (left), Adam's agent, who's job it is to make Adam's life a whole lot easier. While my boy handles work on the field, Joe is behind the scenes handling contract negotiations and the business side of the baseball world.
Now meet Matt Ricatto (right), Adam's equipment manager, who's job it is to make Adam's life a whole lot easier as well. When Adam needs gear, Matt's his guy. Matt, in the most basic form, is Adam's middleman to any merchandise deal he signs.
The pair of guys flew out of California to spend some time with their multiple clients up and down the East Coast. We met with them over a brilliant meal at Leftovers Cafe, Joe's favorite, before they headed down to Fort Lauderdale for more meetings. Adam signed a few contracts, and otherwise, just enjoyed the company of sweet friends who both have a sincere interest in Adam's career. I couldn't be more proud or happy with Adam's decision to sign Joe as his agent. He's been such a blessing in our lives, and surely, our journey would have looked a whole lot different without him in it.
The rest of Super Tuesday looked a little something like this: we sat together at our first Spring Training game ever this afternoon, as the Marlins took on the Detroit Tigers. They lost. And I think it's because Adam wasn't out there with the ball. Call me biased. But he would've shoved. I caught a glimpse of his slider today, and wow, it's sure come a long way! And finally, our Super Tuesday was capped off in front of Fox News Channel, while we watched the primaries of 10 states unfold before our eyes. Yes, we're old people.
