The Milestone
TWO HUNDRED POINT TWO POUNDS! 200.2!! It's Marlin official. Recorded by the strength coach. And one month ahead of his goal! Holy smokes, right?! When I met Adam, he might have, might have, weighed a buck eighty-five. Soaking wet. Those days are far behind us, and no longer will my mom be able to question the health of his once-skin-on-bone facial features...He's got some meat on him now! He's sorta thick! (Haha) Adam has been working relentlessly on his weight gain, constantly having to consume more calories than he'd probably prefer, all while maintaining an impressive 6% body fat. His size is a significant component to his pitching success, and hopefully the days of 5,000 calories will prove to be worthy of the discomfort it took to eat them all.
When I got his text today, which read, "200.2," I did a small victory dance. This is big time. And I'm so proud of him. When I picked him up from work today, my 200 pound man looked as handsome as ever. And that box of Muscle Milk in his arms is ammo for his next goal: 225. Well, maybe that's a bit extreme, but a girl can hope...225...from pancake-butt to bubble-butt. Yeah, I like the sound of that ;)
