Day Sixty-One

The Second Month

I caught this handsome shot of my sweet prince, as he played in the ocean on our 2nd monthaversary. With Hurricane Sean occupying the distant Atlantic, a high surf advisory is in effect. Meaning? Surfers are everywhere. And we wanted a piece of the action. So, we decided that a romantic date at the beach would be fitting for our second month of marriage. We packed up the truck and headed for the Jupiter Inlet North Jetty, where the waves were crashing and the surfers were many. As a treat, the wildlife was just as impressive. Maybe my favorite part of the day was watching the swarms of pelicans diving face-first into the deep blue ocean, and returning with a beak-fulls of flopping fish. Wow. You just don't see that every day in the Northwest. We hung in the sun, talked about life, and enjoyed the gift of nature's beauty, graciously given to us by our artistic and perfect Creator. While watching the waves crash and realizing the power of its vastness, reaching far past the horizon, we were reminded of a video we watched two nights ago at our small group. It's 40 minutes long, but worth every second. If you have some time, need some encouragement, or want another perspective, check out the link below.

How Great is Our God!
