Day Eighty

The Holiday Cheer

It's almost comical seeing Evergreens grace the streets and windows of Florida. But boy, do they bring life to the city! We came back to a beautifully lit Town Center, with all the makings of a White Christmas. Well, minus the white. Instead, palm trees and geckos stand in place of the powdery snow Adam and I have grown accustomed to over the years. Tanning on Christmas day? You bet! It was a cool 75 degrees today, although the brightly lit tree in the middle of Abacoa might have disagreed.

We did accomplished a bit more in the past 24 hours. The apartment is now clean, thanks to my husband who tidied up the place while I was gone, there have been no sightings of fruit flys, we both got in a long workout, and my Macbook is now in Apple Hospital awaiting surgery. Tomorrow I can pick her up and she'll be good as new! Oh, and best of all, Grandpa Blue called us today with an especially ingenious cure to yesterday's malfunction. A resealable glass jar! For the grease! Eureka!
