The CrockPot Delight
First Time's A Charm. And it couldn't be more true. We found brilliant success tonight in the form of our sidelined CrockPot that's yet to see any use. Ever. Of all the meals I've prepared in my life (hey now, that's at least 5 years of college experience!), a CrockPot concoction is one that's always gotten away from me. Not anymore! V8 Tortilla Soup is way too good and far too easy to be left out of our diet for any prolonged amount of time. Adam's been ranting and raving over this meal for at least a month now, so I rearranged my "schedule" (if you want to call it that), and started dinner at 2. I browned some 93/7 hamburger, chopped up a few fresh veggies, and dumped the rest of the ingredients into the slow cooker. By 7, it was a finished masterpiece, and I wasn't sweaty, tired, or grumpy when it was time to dish up! That deserves a thumbs up in my book.
Success Story #1: Resealable glass jars do, in fact, work better than aluminum ones!
One last thing: With Coach Leach's hiring at WSU, many more families lost their jobs and now face the struggle of selling their homes and finding new work. One of these families is dear to my heart. They brought me to my Savior, and without them, my life would look entirely different than it does now. The Lord has a plan that has yet to be revealed to them, so if you would, please join Adam and I in our prayers for The Sears as they face the difficult road ahead.
