The Publix Walks
Adam and I enjoy some of our best and most rewarding moments as we walk to and from Publix - Jupiter's version of Safeway. In those ten minutes, we're dreaming, we're planning, we're laughing. Not having a car has truly been a blessing to the first month of our marriage. We've come to appreciate the fulfillment of conversations uninterrupted by the world - something that's at constant battle with the pace of society. On many of our walks, Adam takes his empty backpack and ends up leaving the grocery store with an oversized piece of luggage draping from his back. Armed with the rest of the groceries, the walk home becomes somewhat of a workout, as the heavy bags begin to cause body aches all over. It's something we've never really had to do before - we've always had a car to throw our stuff in - but this has offered us a different perspective, and one we're grateful for. We like different. It's just a better story.
