Day 4,226

The Eleventh Year!

HAPPY ELEVENTH ANNIVERSARY to us!!

It was a day filled with smiles and laughter, some sleepiness and sore muscles, but we are praising the Lord for His continued faithfulness in our lives. Eleven years ago, we never could've imagined where it would be that He would bring us, but right here is far better and so much more beautiful that anything we could've planned for ourselves. Adam has been a true joy to partner in this life with. I have been blessed by the faith of a man who is sincere and ever-maturing. His love for his God and the overflow of that relationship has poured abundantly into our marriage. He has exemplified the command given to husbands in Ephesians 5 and because of it, I am a wife who is able to so enjoy and flourish in the gift of marriage God gave to me.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined to his wifeand the two shall become one fleshThis mystery is great; but I am speaking with reference to Christ and the church. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.
Ephesians 5:25-33

I love you dearly, Adam.
What a pure, true, fulfilling, encouraging, and tremendously generous gift I've been given in calling you Husband.
The kindness of God is overwhelming.
