The Living Books
Our first story time at our brand new library!!! This library may just be my new best friend and homeschool treasure trove (literally!)—it’s a “living books” library, where each book in their collection of 35,000 comes from the “Golden Age of Youth Literature,” when books were created “with a lyrical narrative quality and wondrous art,” between the 1930s and 1960s. One book we held in our hands was one the librarian and owner had been searching for for 20 years! We’re SO excited to have access to all these rare, unique, and quickly fading books and can’t wait to add them into our days of learning!
We’re head-over-heels for living books :)
