The Friends And the Tides
A HUGE thank you to our wonderful violin instructor, Mrs. Hinkelman for her help making this week's concert such a sweet success by investing week after week into these babes' lives!
After violin practice, we had a surprise/spontaneous play date with some friends, and the children were just SO happy to see their faces.
Then we had another group of friends come over!
Their mama and I workout together and after spending time with them on their farm, they got to come to us!
Twins!
And to wrap up our day, we spent time with even more friends!
This time, watching Bearett play in a playoff game.
Our boy played second base the whole game and had SO MUCH more fun compared to the multiple innings he's spent in the outfield.
They ended their season with a loss, but what a fun team it was for him to be apart of. We're not sure if Bearett will choose to play again next year--as he's expressed interest otherwise--but we're sure proud of all the growth he made this season. He learned a lot, he struggled a lot, he had to work really hard to keep up with a group of boys that were just more dedicated to and "into" baseball than he was. And I think for an eight year old boy, staying in it when your heart is elsewhere is something he can hang his hat on. Way to go this season, Bearett! We love you!
