The Hard—Sometimes Boring—Work is Paying Off!
A dear friend of mine gave me a beautiful laminated print of 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 earlier this year, and in all the moves since receiving it, it’s been a constant and sweet reminder to my heart as I teach my children each morning, regardless of where we are.
4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. (1 Corinthians 13:4, NASB)
Thursday followed the similar pattern we’ve been experiencing of moving and building and creating and finishing and storing and organizing. Next up: bunk beds for the small shared room!
A special shout-out to my six year old who just got her round-off backhandspring on the floor! It’s a huge accomplishment—one she’s been working on for most of the year! Way to go, Amelia!!
Then, it was off on another date with Lowe’s.
This time, we NEEDED some blinds. Only, we didn’t anticipate just how long this process takes.
So, to make the time pass with less complaining, the kids spun a screw, and whomever it landed on, they had five frog jumps!
While it wasn’t the most exciting trip, it sure paid dividends in the end. We’re no longer living in a fishbowl; something everyone can cheer about!
:)
Three cheers for no more mattresses on the floor!!!!
