The NC Baseball Summer
Park date with our friend! This time, to a giant splash pad!

And as if that weren’t enough fun to fill a while afternoon, not 100 meters away was a giant farm-themed playground for them to enjoy as well!

Everybody got into it!

It was so much fun spending time with our baseball babes, but my goodness was it HOT Wednesday! I don’t think we’ve quite experienced a day like that before here in Durham.

I mean, it’s so hot I think it’s maybe heat-stroking the giant bugs that fly around here. Gracious. And y’all thought Florida was bad? Ain’t seen nothing like the bugs here, my goodness. Sick.

The only way to cool off from a long, hot day and keep the mosquitoes and all their creepy friends at bay: night swimming! Better believe it! We swam until Mommy had to make supper at 8:30.

But even in the pool, the bugs are still lurking!! Thankfully, only mostly the cute ones. Rollie pollies never hurt nobody. And they sure make our babes light up! EVERY time they catch one, I am bombarded with “can we keep it as a pet, Mom?! Please?!” Pete sake.

And since we’re currently minor leaguers with a ridiculously high rental rate, we share and reuse more than ever before. Cold? Share a towel. Wet floor? Use the clothes you just took off to mop it up. No can opener? Use your teeth. Ok, kidding on the last one.

And, Harry Potter says goodnight.
