Day 3,576

The Best Last Day

Our last day of adventure in Spokane took us out to Green Bluff for some nostalgia and good ol fashioned strawberry picking.

The strawberries were a little smaller than we anticipated and the rows weren’t as precise as those visited in NC, but, they encouraged as much taste testing as possible, so the kids got both an experience AND a snack all in one. Best $9 we ever spent on a date with two adults and eight children.

After, we spent the evening on the side of a mountain with some of our dear friends from way back in our college days.

Eleven kids enjoyed parts of ten acres,

chicken, hugs,

chicken walks,

goats,

Moose sheds,

and new toys with new friends. It was a treat to be able to spend some time catching up and hanging out—the only thing that could’ve made it better would’ve been if Adam were there to enjoy it all with us.

But he was in Jacksonville closing a game against the Jumbo Shrimp and his best friend Mr. Brian.

Finally, we drove back to Grandma’s and gave our saddest goodbye hugs to our cousins. We had such a good trip—even better than we anticipated—and though we’re really sad to leave, we can’t wait to see our Papa Bear. We love you, Spokane family!!
