Day 3,570

The Happy Fathers

I’m a few days behind—it’s been busy and we’re using up EVERY last minute, to the point that I’m absolutely exhausted but thankful for it.

Sunday was Father’s Day and though we didn’t have Daddy here for us to celebrate with, we got to be with Papa instead and what a joy it was. We’ve shared many years together, but of them all, this has been the sweetest to me. Our relationship has grown and been refined so much and in a way that is utterly unrecognizable from the first memories I have of us. Praise God. Thank you, Papa, for being a constant source of dependency to me, for honoring my family, and for loving me like your own. You are cherished and loved. Happy Father’s Day!

And to you, our Papa Bear…we miss you and love you. And without getting too emotional in considering all the ways you have genuinely exampled Biblical manhood and fatherhood to us, we are without words grateful God gave us specifically you to run this race of life alongside. The Lord’s abundant kindness is not taken for granted. You are a treasure unlike any other—the rarest, most precious and dearly beloved gift.  Thank you for loving us so well and for loving your God even more. It is an honor to stand by your side.
