The Kindness in North Carolina
We had a much anticipated visit from some friends yesterday and the babes were ALL smiles! We slid and jumped and sprayed and talked. And it was such a joy. Our hearts are full and we are so thankful!
We continued playing outside and eventually made some friends with another sweet family down the street. They ended up inviting us over for supper and our smiles just continued into the night! They’re a homeschooling family of six who love the Lord (praise God!), so conversation was constant and just so comfortable. We’ve been met with grace upon grace since arriving here in Durham and daily, I’m finding myself more and more thankful to our God and in awe of His kindness. We capped off the evening with cheers for Daddy as he threw in another inning for the Bulls. He’s been extremely successful so far this season and has finally developed his slider into a pitch that works well with his other two offerings. We’re not sure how long it is we’ll be here—as the Rays are one of the most talented teams in baseball—but our Daddy is excited to help the team in St. Pete as soon as he gets the opportunity.
