The End of Spring Season
Monday was Ella Mae’s last day as a rec gymnast! Next week, she’ll join the Level 1 team as it’s newest addition and this little Lady Kate couldn’t be more excited!
Ella Mae has learned so much since first starting her training with Coach Taylor. It has been a treat to watch the two of them work together as our babe grows in the basics of gymnastics, instruction, and self-control. To say we are grateful for Coach Taylor would be a massive understatement, as this sweet lady has become quite cherished in the lives of our little family. She is a constant reminder to my own heart of the days way back when, when God so graciously intertwined the lives of Mrs. Molly Sears and I as a junior in college. We look forward with great anticipation to any time we get with this dear girl and pray for God to do a mighty work in her life, just as He did when He made Himself known to me in the faithful home of Mrs. Molly all those years ago. Our God is so good..
What an unexpected treasure these last six months have been—even better than these adorable and personalized and hand made cookies the girls got to celebrate with at the close of their spring gymnastics session yesterday! Coach Taylor not only has gym skills, but she has baking skills AND hospitality skills to go with it—as she even included a cookie for all the siblings of each of her athletes! That’s my kind of girl right there.
After gym, it was off to the property for us! Ain’t much better picture than this—pretty pink gymnastics farm girls!
And you better believe these babes went to work.
This time, they got to use cool big tools for their stick-picking-up venture.
They did a fabulous job making big piles for their daddy to drag off the land and had lots of fun finding hidden surprises as they worked—this little frog being their best discovery!
We got a bit dirty in the two hours we worked, and I have a feeling that most of our days moving forward and in the years ahead, will look very similar to this.
