Day 3,509

The Big Fish Smiles

Bub completed his math yesterday in record time and subsequently finished the rest of his schoolwork before we usually even begin our homeschool day. We’ve discovered a new motivation for staying focused during math and it’s made all the difference this week in school. And everyone is PUMPED!

GOOD JOB BABY BOY!

The early morning gave us SO much more time to spend with our day however Bearett wanted to do. He chose fishing, and so, we fished. A lot. And we had just about the best time. We were in a rut there for a while. There’s no hiding it: homeschooling is wonderful but it’s sure tough sometimes. And we were struggling. So, more than ever before, I’m exceedingly grateful for the encouragement I’ve received over the past few weeks in my role as a mother, a teacher, a wife, and mostly as a daughter of the King. It’s a tremendous position I find myself in and not only do I want to do it well; I want to do it faithfully and with the hope that not only will my children learn their ABCs and 123s, but that they learn and trust who Christ is through my daily living out the gospel before their growing eyes—the greatest, most rewarding task I’ll ever have as a mother. I am grateful to have been afforded the opportunity to homeschool my children and similarly grateful for the women in my life helping me to do it well. I love you ladies!

And we love you Gammy!

We got to hang out at Gammy’s new place and play with her roommate’s little puppy!

It was more excitement than they were maybe anticipating, but we sure are joyful over her new friendship and sweetest home. What a gift.
