The Ella Mae Kate Turns FOUR!
March 29th and Ella Mae is FOUR!!!!!!! And as she most assuredly expressed: she feels so much bigger! Oh this girl. She’s my weakness—the craziest, most cuddly and sweet, but stinkiest little thing in existence. You make me smile constantly, Kate!!!
Her siblings woke up and went right to it: everyone needs a special homemade Conley card on their birthday!
She had the most full day possible and loved every moment of it. She got to celebrate at gymnastics class with all her gym friends.
And then we had a pool party!!
Ella Mae. My love. My tiny mini-me. My miniature personality on steroids. My unending laughter and similar impatience. This little girl is a walking comedy show—the best kind of reality tv you could ever hope to enjoy. She is loud, sweet as honey, constantly curious, gentle yet so incredibly tough. She is exceptionally witty, filled—and I mean FILLED—with questions that never ever end, a lover of gymnastics, of praying, of lollipops and coloring. Our Katesy is the most nurturing mama to her babies, the leader of Molly, the party starter, and the biggest fit thrower. She’s still such a baby yet incredibly mature. She wakes up nearly every night to sneak into our bed and still says her “Rs” with that “oooh” accent of a small child. It’s the cutest. Her little cheeks and chubby thighs are my favorite and her tiny freckles dotting her nose make me all sorts of joyful.
Kate, what a treasure you are to us. Having you as a daughter has filled our days with so much fun, so much work, so much learning, and so much love. You make us crazy. You make us crazy happy too. Your statements are mind boggling, they’re the funniest, most anticipated words of our days and we just can’t get enough. Thank you for being totally unique, totally genuine, and totally just you. Ah. What a gift.
Ella Mae had such a special day yesterday that she was given the opportunity to not even nap! Maybe that was her most favorite thing, but maybe Mr. Stevie’s baseball game was a close second.
She’s always been my most inthralled with the game Daddy loves to play. Ever since she was a baby, she’s loved watching the ball thrown across the field and the men hitting it off the bat. She likes the noise of the crowd and the conversations with the people that make it up. She really likes the treats too.
Not pictured, but we also got to see a few of our baseball family at nap time yesterday before they headed up to Jacksonville for the beginning of their season. She was SO excited to see her Mrs. Michelle! And equally as happy to take a picture with her Mr. Stevie after his senior night at Martin County High!
Yes, exactly, my love. This is exactly you. And we are so thankful. Happy birthday, my dear four year old. The Lord has been abundantly kind to us in giving you us to enjoy all the days He has. We love you!!! Grrrrrr!
