Day 3,358

The First Girl’s First Meet!

Amelia had her first gymnastics meet EVER yesterday! At a little over 5 1/2 years old, she competed Level 2 and finished the night with an All-Around of 32.95. Tomorrow I’ll post even more photos, as I ran out of time tonight and wasn’t able to upload the photos from my actual camera. So here’s just a little taste of what we all were SO excited to experience!

On beam she got an 8.4

Vault she got an 8.8

Bars she fell twice and got a 7.4
Yes, that’s her flying off the bar on accident!
(We were all dying laughing—she’s so cute!)

Floor she got an 8.35

And coming all the way from Washington to see it happen...Grandma Heather...

...and Grandpa Dan!
(It was maybe a little rough taking the babes to Amelia’s meet—we had to practice excessive amounts of patience, as it was a little boring waiting so long in between Sissy’s turns—but for their first time and with a few distractions, they did pretty good!)

She ended up placing second on all her events and second in the all-around for her age group, which was the youngest to compete!

AMAZING JOB AMELIA!!!!
We are SO proud of you!

She’s absolutely loving gymnastics and picking it up so quickly. I love you, my tiny gymnast!

I’ll try posting some videos as well, if I can figure out how to make it work.
