The Much Anticipated Anniversary Date Night
While the Little Gremlins tore up the floor and tore down the house...
Daddy and Mommy tore into a huge piece of peanut butter cake...totally uninterrupted!
It was maybe ever slightly over due, but considering the circumstances of the past 6 months, we sure made up for lost time alone and cherished every moment of our night at The Gafford (Adam and I won’t go anywhere else on date night—best food in town, hands down!)
We got a few moments to walk and talk and enjoyed the calm of a cooled off Florida evening next to the water.
He’a my best friend—better than the best I could’ve tried asking for. I still can’t believe it. What a grace from God. And though this year has brought much change, frustration, difficulty, and uncertainty, the two of us have gotten to spend more time together than any year before, and for that, I can’t imagine anything better. The Lord’s ways are good. He is scandalously kind and I am more thankful than I know how to express. I love you, Adam. You are truly a treasure unlike any.
I’m not sure it calmed down much at our house while we were gone, but Grandma kept it from burning down, so WE WIN!! Yaaaaay Gammy! Thank you SO much for serving us so generously—it is appreciated far more than you know!
