The Ninth Year of Conley
9.10.20
Nine years of marriage and it just keeps getting sweeter.
If you would’ve asked me on my wedding day nine years ago, what my life would look like now, I’d never imagine being able to articulate something even close to the picture above. Praise God. The abundant and generous kindness of the Lord is overwhelming and I am more thankful than I know how to express. We love our marriage. And I love my man. Adam has faithfully and diligently pursued Jesus, and because of it, he’s faithfully and diligently pursued me. I know I am loved, honored, cherished, respected, considered. I am protected, provided for, and prayed for. Adam is so good to me and my children—a gift that I am humbled to experience every single day.
I love you, Adam.
I am so thankful to be living life holding your hand.
Happy Anniversary.
As you maybe know by now, Adam and I (well, mostly me, let’s be real) like to give the traditional wedding gifts on our anniversary. For the ninth year, the traditional gift you’re supposed to give is pottery. We couldn’t come up with many ideas, but thought that making or painting pottery would be fun—at least for the kids! So, we found a local place where we could ALL celebrate our marriage, and we had the kids each choose a pottery item to make for Daddy and I.
Bearett chose a cross. A boy after our hearts!
Amelia chose a vase. Fresh flowers in the Conley house—she knows us well!
Ella Mae chose a picture frame. Even she understands how much we love our pictures!
And Molly (hardly pictured because taking a one year old to a pottery store is close to being considered insanity) “chose” a jar and lid. Little decorative pieces are always sought after in this family!
We had fun and made a mess. The kids would’ve stayed longer and painted more if Molly wasn’t such a rhino, but, they finished their pieces and are anxious to see their masterpieces.
Below, a picture of each kids’ paint AFTER their creations were competed. We laughed—SO accurate of each of their personalities.
