The COVID Distractions
Bubba made Bitsy a Puppy Palace yesterday.
Problem was, it wasn’t fit for the Queen—she hated it.
But I liked the creativity of it, so he gets an A in my book.
Problem is, my grade don’t matter.
Sorry Bub.
Sometimes that’s just how it goes.
Lately, Dad and I have been playing catch in the street while the kiddies nap. But with church and subsequently, a late nap and an even later lunch for us, we weren’t yet throwing when the little babe rolled her pretty face out of her afternoon bed. So Daddy gave her all the cuddles before heading us ALL outside.
We distracted the gremlins from Daddy’s throwing “program” with a new tumble track! (“Program” because being relegated to the concrete street under the cover of trees isn’t quite the ideal pitching conditions...BUT, it CERTAINLY beats the alternative, so we make the most of it!) The 16 foot track is bouncy, much like a trampoline, and therefore, ALL sorts of fun!
We also distract with dirt.
Everyone knows dirt is THE universal child distracter.
We’re still doing great and enjoying our family time. Adam continues to be tested—still without symptoms—and will hopefully have more information about his health situation in the upcoming days.
And just for the “awww” factor...
:)
