Day 3,234

The Late-Afternoon Storms of July

Night swimming—it doesn’t happen often around here because of the massively active Miami mosquito population that swarm once the sun begins to set. Thankfully (I can’t believe I’m typing these next few words), it rained so much yesterday that the mosquitos retreated, giving us some much-needed solace in our backyard.

I know it’s not fair that you can’t jump off chairs into the pool yet! Oh, the injustice!

We love night swimming! And gymnastics. And diving. And all the fun things that make living in Miami extra fun!

Buuuuuut, we do miss our home.
(Correct, that’s not my child standing in my house)
And we even miss it so much that we had some friends move into our home while we’re gone, just to keep it company for us ;)
Praising God in so many unbelievable ways over the course of this very odd season of COVID life. It might not all make complete sense now, but one day, we’ll look back and be able to see so clearly, all the work the Lord did through this pandemic.
