The Conley Quarantine: Day 2
A couple weeks ago, Adam and I finally got around to watching The Mandalorian(!!). Afterwards, Adam was inspired to create his own version of the iconic helmet Mando wears and he’s quite serious about it. It’s still in the production phase, but the kids can’t keep their grubby paws off it and if Dad mistakingly leaves it out, the somewhat fragile cardboard/duct tape combination is manhandled by four toddler yodas.
It’s a time consuming, intriguing project that Adam has managed to create using only one intentional glance at Mando’s helmet. Adam’s conceptualization is for real a super power. Amelia’s nail growth is a close second.
Day two of mandatory Florida quarantine had us participating in yet another Zoom gymnastics class. This time with her teammates has cleared the kids’ understanding somewhat that our stay at home order isn’t just for the Conleys. They’re really upset about “having to go to” home church and not being able to do their activities and see the people they love. Guys, I’m on your side. For sure.
Thankfully, though things have changed dramatically for the time being, the children still have each other. And what a blessing that is to them!
And WHAT A BLESSING it was that Adam found this child just in time!!!! Gracious, Molly! This baby is the craziest one we’ve ever had. By far. Her sleep patterns even match her personality! Aye. She’s now from here on out, sentenced to the “little bed” on the floor for all naps and bed times when her mommy isn’t present!
