Day 3,123

The Lake Toss

So...not quite “quarantined,” but home bound nonetheless mostly. Nothing in town is open - the beaches are all closed and for Pete’s sake, even our community playground is quick tied shut - so like most every person in America (the world?), we’re just hanging out and finding new ways to do things.

If you can spot him, Adam is the tiny speck on the other side of our lake. I told Adam I thought I could throw a baseball across our man made water holder. So, he strapped his bucket of balls to his motorized bicycle thing and...this is how he threw to me yesterday. Hahahaha!

And I can proudly say that I successfully tossed one of four balls to Adam from the grass on the outside of our fence, all the way to Daddy. Just one though. And Amelia was in charge of recoding. So she didn’t record it. Obviously. So you’ll just have to take my word for it!

Our baseball time moved to the front yard from the back yard later yesterday. Clearly, we love our game.

A lot. And we miss it too.
As of now, we’re hoping at best for a shortened season - one that maybe could pick up sometime in June. But with the current state of things as they are now - still lacking a lot of information on the potential of this virus and with most everything shut down - I think everyone’s in the same sort of “wait and see” window. We don’t really have much more information than that, as we’re just as lost and in the dark as everyone else. But as soon as we get any public confirmation about anything, I’ll post it!

For whatever reason, I had it in my head that NOBODY is open right now. But currently, our county has not (yet) been given the stay-at-home order, so many restaurants are still open, just as long as you pick it up. Supporting local businesses meant that this Mom got the night off of cooking and cleaning and we ordered pizza for supper. And since it was such a nice treat, we even got to watch a show with it! Happy babes. Happy parents. I think that’s how it goes anyways.
