Day 3,120

The Messy Morning

Daddy woke up early to go turkey watching hunting yesterday.

So Mom held down the fort and we started with cereal for breakfast - Fruity Pebbles to be exact. Ever since Daddy expressed his childhood love for the sweet rice crunchies, and that he’d eat bowls of it in AAA when it was available, I started getting it for him as a treat. And then the kids found it. And we’ve loved “Pebbles” ever since. Ella Mae asks for “Pebbles and Milky” nearly every morning. And she’s now got her baby sister onto her trail.

Soon after breakfast, we started school. It was mostly a mess of a school day - taking over two hours to complete - but there certainly were cute moments. Bubba is on week 27 now, with 8 more weeks to go!

And this one is getting about to the halfway point in her “learning to read” book - she starts KINDERGARTEN this upcoming school year and though it’ll surely be a new task for me to juggle, I know she’s excited to officially start.

Daddy got home right around lunch, which was just what I needed to get the girls fed and in bed. Lately, the boys have been doing things together during the latter part of nap time and headed outside to play ball. Bub’s getting better and better, and Daddy even said he played his best game of catch EVER yesterday!

Yay Bubba!!

And all the animals said,
“YAY BUBBA!!” too.
