The Work Before Play
First, do your school work.
Which in this case meant: listen to the orchestra play Peter and the Wolf...while simultaneously painting Mommy a beautiful picture...while Bearett completes his math problems...while Ella Mae changes clothes for the fifth time in two hours...while Molly scatters cards all over the whole entire school room!
Work, work, work!
And once your work is done...
PLAY!
Which in this case meant: packing up all the Conleys and Target-ing for an hour. Because even Mommy needed to get out of the house and a new toy to mask the disappointment of no church, baseball, or gymnastics sounded like an alright plan to me. Molly chose a tiny “bebe!” that she kissed and patted immediately after pulling it off the shelf. Ella Mae chose a baby MODEST mermaid (She’s ALL about calling you out if you’re not “modesty,” so be warned now haha. And of course, she chose ANOTHER baby to add to her collection). Amelia chose a barking puppy that you can groom and medically care for - she’s been putting hair ties in this little dog’s ears since she opened it and carrying it around in a backpack like a total Florida girl. And Bearett finally decided on a...Pokémon ball belt. Literally, it’s a belt that hangs baseball-sized Pokémon balls from it. I’m in deep confusion over this toy and have literally no idea what it’s for. BUT, he hasnt taken it off all day and hasn’t lost either ball or the Pikachu figurine that came inside one of the balls. Sooo...another successful Target run and one that will hopefully keep their attention over the next...weeks? Aye Corona.
