The Downpour
Indoctrinating the Babe with Gruffalo already.
Will she come to love him as much as we do?

Our new school “room.”
It’s makeshift. It’s cozy - and by that, I mean small. But it’s just enough for our little Kindergartener and if it works for him, it works for us.

We could’ve spent yesterday one of two ways.
It’s obvious which we chose. They played in the rain probably two hours before it was time to come in.

They found lizards.
And killed them.
They found worms and centipedes.
And collected them.

And they found mud.
Because: duh.
It’s been a stormy last couple of days here, but we’re making it work and enjoying our little home as much as we can!

And *trying* to enjoy baseball as well. Ok, MAMA is trying to enjoy baseball. The kids, they love it and cheer for home runs no matter the team! If only it were that easy.

Conley stats are in a funk so far this season. There’s not really much of an explanation either, seeing as Adam is throwing the ball probably better than he ever has before. He threw a ball 99MPH yesterday in 46 degree weather, so there’s that. That same pitch also got hit for a walkoff home run to end the game - the third fastest pitch all season in MLB to be hit out of the park. You know, stuff like that. Sorta how it’s gone this year so far. We’re still excited though, encouraged with his progression, and keeping perspective. If nothing else, the Lord is at work in my own heart through baseball and it’s many demands this year, and though it hurts sometimes, killing sin is worth it.
