Day 2,456

The Providential Help

Bubba had tee ball but Molly was sick. Thankfully, Daddy had a second night game in a row and was able to take him to his morning game. Just the two of them. The girls were bummed we missed it, but we were so happy Daddy got to cheer him on - the last and only game Dada will get to see him play this year. Go Bub!

Little Lou wasn’t feeling too hot yesterday. Well actually, she WAS feeling hot. She managed to get the thermometer to read 100.7, which is considered a medical emergency in infants under 3 months.

We did our best to make her feel comfortable, and by the Lord’s sweet providence and grace, I got to spend most of the afternoon on the couch with Molly because Mrs. Donna - or “Gigi” as we call her - had already planned on bringing us supper for the night and company for the day! The kids were wild with excitement to see her and their Mama was equally as happy to see her friend after too long apart. The Lord is so kind to know and provide exactly what we need at just the right moment.

After Mrs. Donna left, Molly’s fever reduced to 100.0 but then an hour later, spiked to 100.8. We made the decision to take her to the ER, where they were able to rule out the flu, RSV, and UTI. We’re still not sure what sort of bug Molly picked up, but I am thankful to say that as of today (Sunday), our Molly Lou has no fever and not the slightest signs of any other symptoms. Her little body fought it off all on her own and I’m so grateful.

Thank you to everyone who helped out yesterday. Daddy for taking Bubba, Mrs. Donna for the company and meals, Angela for taking our laundry, Morgan for helping watch the kiddies, Jess for cleaning my house and watching the babes while I was at the ER, Mrs. Tawnyia and Ashleigh for their company and wisdom in the ER, and everyone who prayed over my family and Molly. We love you and treasure your kindness and servant hearts.
