The Hard Farewell
The day started off innocent enough.
The cutest almost-four-year-old drawing I’ve ever seen in my life and a bunch of kids running around the house, enjoying the most precious moments with their cousins.
It took a turn for the worse when it came time to say bye though. Our last ditch effort for a cousin photo was about as successful as well, this. “Hey guys, sit on the car seats of a 68 Mustang on the garage floor of Uncle Adam’s junk pile and...SMILE!” Yeah no. Good enough for a last grown up laugh though!
Goodbyes are never easy, but the reason for their visit was to say hello. To our Molly Lou. And what a visit it was! We are grateful for willing and helpful hands and thankful for the servant hearts who’ve so graciously given up their time and home life to support us during this new season of our lives. We couldn’t have done it without you, Ellie, Shelby, and Mommy!!

And now, we wait and see how Mama handles these four babes, household, and homeschooling solo! Pray for me! And maybe send a text now and then to encourage me to laugh ;) God is so good. I can’t wait to learn all about my new family of six and what the Lord is preparing me - and them - for.
