The First Day of Spring Training 2019
And just like that, we’re on to professional Season #9 together. Nine.
Dad left yesterday morning at 5:15 to take my Mom to the airport and then showed up to the facility in Jupiter at 6 to prepare for his day. His early arrival enabled him to complete all his mandatory physicals (bloodwork, height, weight, arm health, dental checkup, fitness measurement, etc.) and eat before his first meeting at 8.
Officially, Adam gained 7 lbs this offseason, weighing in at 217! He’s never before been this strong or mechanically healthy, so we’re excited to see the fruits of his labor this year. And even more excited to watch him do it in his new team colors!
While Daddy worked at the field, we were busy at work at school. Bearett has a new school buddy and it was fun watching them work side by side for the first time ever.
Our second day together was slightly more lame than we were expecting. It rained all afternoon, nonstop and was only 60 degrees. So we made the best of it by playing Simon Says and learning karate from Hunter whole trapped inside.
Asher and Molly watching the karate kids!
And finally, to break up the monotony of all-day indoor play, DADDY IS HOME!
Yaaaaaaay!
And with him, he brought a break in the rain! Thanks Dada! That meant the kids could finally celebrate with the birthday silly string they’d been waiting so patiently for! It was the perfect ending to our day. Love you so much, Daddy.
