Bearett has monstrous tonsils. Yesterday, we took him to get them checked out.
Doctor used this diagram that Amelia’s pointing to to show us the normal size of a person’s tonsils. Let’s just say that Bearett’s don’t quite jive with “normal.”
But because he’s not perpetually sick and they’re not infected, Doctor is not suggesting surgery at this point. Woo! If they get bigger or cause any future problems, his suggestion may change. So we wait. And...we also decide whether or not to put Bearett on SIX WEEKS of a steroid in order to see if his tonsils reduce in size, helping him not snore at night...not sure if that’s an option we’d consider though. Being a parent and having to make tough decisions sucks sometimes!
