The Big Five
What a year! From four to five, almost nothing in our Bear’s life has remained the same. A new family. A new name. A new state. A new home. A new car. A new church. New friends. New food. New expectations. New smells. New sights. New routines. New everything but especially, a newness of life. For all of it, we’re beyond proud of the trust he’s built, the maturing he’s done, the safety he feels, and the tender heart he has. We are forever grateful for the immediate and lasting impact Bearett has had on each of our lives and look forward with great expectation to the years ahead. We pray he’s a faithful, driven, loyal man one day who serves well and loves the Lord above all else. What a treasure he is and and a blessing he’s been this last year. We are SO grateful for Bearett’s life and for his seamless entry into ours and absolutely love celebrating the life that is his every June 22! Happy birthday, my love. We’re passionately crazy about you!
And just so you know, everyone surrounding you feels the same way too! Evidence: surprise birthday donuts from Mrs. Brandi across the street!

Not sure if he could top off his birthday afternoon any better than celebrating the end of his very first Vacation bible School week!

It was such a joy watching these little hearts worship and learn about the Lord this week. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it a thousand times: I love my church!!!

And we love our pastor too! Since Daddy couldn’t make it to Bear on his big day, Pastor Phillip delivered the handmade present Daddy had made for our boy.
And I’m not sure I’ve ever seen Bearett so happy! A (dull) hunting knife to “kill boar hogs with!” (He has lots of rules regarding the knife, calm down!)

And then a last second bowling party with his friends!

Bearett, please know how much we love you.

All of us.

Her too!

Can’t wait to see what raising a five year old entails! We’ll soon enough find out!!

Just like the box auntie Kim made you(!!!): you’re one of our greatest adventures, my boy. Thank you for such a beautiful year. I love you baby.
