The Perfect Easter
The happiest Easter yet! Not only have we grown tremendously in our faith this past year, but our whole entire family of five was able to celebrate the Risen King together yesterday - an unexpected blessing that we haven’t experienced ever as a family and neither as a couple in probably at least four years. As this day is the cornerstone to our Christian faith - Christ defeating the grave after having been crucified to a cross for our sins, thus verifying his claim as the Son of God and the only Way to Heaven - it was such a joy to be able to worship alongside the people I love most. As we head off into another season, it was a sweet reminder to my heart to choose joy and to recognize even the smallest of blessings regardless of our circumstances.
And literally, this is Dad driving off into the 2018 season - an 11 hour drive to New Orleans that he made (halfway) after church yesterday. We are grateful his coaches allowed him to stay the one extra night in order for him to be able to come to church with us. Another blessing. And I’ll be wise to count them this year.
Happy Easter, my family and friends.
Here we go again.
