Day 2,304

The Bone Chill

Our house was 55 degrees when we woke up yesterday. Let me just remind you of the great oxymoron that is 41 degrees and SOUTH FLORIDA. Fact: our state’s capital got SNOW yesterday for the first time since 1988. What?!!!!!!!! Nonsense! What is going on?!! I thought I missed the cold (ok just a little bit), but uhm, no. Nope. Don’t miss it. My fingers are already chapped and my toes perpetually frozen. I think my joints ache extra too.

The kids however, they were having a blast.

And they were looking especially cute in their winter clothes.

Part of the reason we moved to Florida was so that Adam could throw outdoors during the offseasons. Days like yesterday are that reminder and make us reflect on how thankful we are to have the ability to live where we do. (Amelia was all about pitching with Daddy yesterday. My heart.)

We’ve spent a little more time indoors than usual the last couple days (were ill equipped with actual WARM winter clothing), and so Dad’s been teaching Bear lots about guns and Walkie talkies and everything “man stuff” until they can get back outside to make a mess again.
