The First Meds
"Hey Amelia! Good morning. Want to see what your eye looks like?"
She looks...
*GASP*
So she's gotta be allergic to bug bites or something. And they sure love her down here in Florida, so there's not many ways around it. My goodness. Pretty sure she was SWIMMING when the ant crawled onto HER FACE, for Pete's sake! Despite the gigantic smile, Amelia started throwing a fit later on in the day because her wash cloth was "too cold." Can't win.
In contrast. Always winning.
Clearly.
We had a whole day of fun scheduled for yesterday, but fearing public condemnation for my daughter's bowling ball eye, we went to see Uncle Lucas instead. Smart choice,
Because: this.
Dr. Lucas got her immune system all set up for us to wreak havoc on :( Feast your eyes upon Amelia's first EVER dose of oral medication. Age two years and eight months.
I was nervous about giving her something because she's never had any experiences with medicine, but it went as well as it could've.
With a nursing pad replacing her cold washcloth, we bummed out and tried resting her bites away.
By the end of the night, it had gone down noticeably, but it's definitely still there. One thing for sure: it's never dull around here.
