Day 2,107

The Way We Travel

Bye bye Dada! See you tomorrow!

The girls and I left Tennis-ee yesterday afternoon, before Daddy's doubleheader on a nonstop flight back to NOLA. The team was scheduled to DRIVE 8 hours home following the conclusion of the second game (which ended at 11pm), but because he throws Thursday and sleeping upright on a bus would prove impossible, Adam instead decided to get his own hotel room and fly out this morning. So we said bye for 24 short hours and the day of travel kept us preoccupied from missing him too much.

Two babes, two strollers, two car seats, two carry-ons, and one suitcase. We got this! We dropped the rental car off and walked all the way (probably half mile) to the ticket counter just like this. It made us feel accomplished that we worked so well together to make this happen without tears or too much sweat!

Ella Mae even let Mama walk that WHOLE way to the ticket counter from the car without me having to wear her - a blessing for sure. This little babe is just so sweet. And she's now found her hands/fingers, on which she sucks the daylights out of whenever she gets the chance.

Amelia not only helped Mama, but she helped the ticket lady as well! We made it to the plane with no issues and landed in NOLA at the front end of a tropical storm right before the rain came pouring down. The Conley girls sure are a good team!
