The Seventh Cake Start
"Where we dough-ing (going), Daddeey? We dough-ing to Tennis?!"
We're going to Tennis-EE, Amelia. Nashville, Tennessee! And we're flying on an airplane to get there!
"A awpwane?! Yaaaaaaaaaa!!!"

The four of us left our hotel in NOLA at 7AM yesterday to catch an 8:50 flight with the team to Tennis ;) It was another last second decision, but we're all SO thankful we booked the tickets. Having our family together these past six weeks has been such a treasure and though the travel is hectic, we always seem to find a way to make it work. We landed in Nashville at 10:30AM, picked up our rental car (no more Ubering with two babies anymore), ate at a local breakfast spot, got settled in at the hotel, and Dad finally left to the field at 3:30 for his 7PM start. Starting on the travel day always comes with its own unique challenges, but Adam has thankfully managed both of his travel starts well this year, which fascinates me. Not that I think he's incapable or that it surprises me, I'm just amazed by his (and really anyone's) ability to perform at such an extreme level on less sleep and having traveled the entire morning...shoot, I did all I could and by 4 o'clock, I was exhausted and sleeping next to my two girls for Pete's sake! Bravo, Dad!
We gave Dada two thumbs up last night. His velocity is picking back up and he's really starting to look like the guy we're used to seeing out there.
He pitched into the seventh inning and was given a few more pitches to work with. Ever since coming to NOLA, he's been on a pitch count of 90. Yesterday, they let him toss 99.

"Dood job Dada!" Ella Mae is also clearly fascinated by her Papa. Or actually, probably it's the lights. We'll just pretend then.
Goodnight from Music City!

Adam was told he's pitching next Thursday.
