Day 2,101

The Squish

Amelia: "Mom! Mom! Mom! There's pee everywhere!"

Me: "Good morning Amelia. Did you pee so much it leaked through your sleep diaper? Yes? Ok, shhhhh. Baby's still sleeping. Take off your pjs and I'll clean you up."

Amelia takes off her wet pjs quietly, and mid-wipe, she squeals, "Mom! Mom! Mom! Baby's awaaaaaake!!!!!!! Ahhhhh! She's smiling Mama! I wanna see her!"

And this is how my mornings most usually begin. Swoon. Well, except the pee part. That's only happened once since we've been here.

My girls giggle and laugh at each other often, and especially in the morning. And sometimes, Amelia annhilates Ella Mae's face while trying to "squish her cheeks." Sorry kid. That's just second child problems and you'll be tougher for it one day. However, do know, Ella Mae, that I save you from the clumsy/young/rough/immature hands of your Sisturd whenever I see them mauling you.

And also know that not once yet has your Sissy ever laid an evil hand on you. She loves you so much and just doesn't understand her strength or your delicateness (<---- not sure if that's a word - sorry, it's late). She's constantly kissing on you, holding you, sharing with you, and praying for you. You're the best little girls ever and I'm so thankful THIS (and your Dada) is what I get to wake up to!!!
