The Reason We Trek
Because: this.
Irreplaceable. Undeniable.
Every sweaty inconvenience, every squished seat, every yawn and blowout is worth this.
Ah, I just can't ever get enough of them.
We woke up to big hugs from Daddy and yet another perfectly quaint and sweet breakfast in a new town. Besides the fact that we so desire and need time with each other, we absolutely love experiencing the local gems we find hidden away in every city as well.
If you're ever in San Diego and looking for an adorable breakfast spot, the Lazy Hippo is one that won't disappoint! Dad's lazy hippo drawing even got put on the wall! Go Fish!
The New Children's Museum didn't disappoint either!
The girls had loads of hands on experimenting and fun and it's absolutely a place we'd visit often if we ever found ourselves residents of San Diego.
Doesn't get cuter than this!
And even though duty called, Dad managed to find a way to let us enjoy baseball with him together on the off day. Ok, that's mostly the truth. The other half of it was the fact that the Padres were playing a home game against a visiting team, so Adam throwing in the stadium wasn't an option. Getting his workout clothes from the field wasn't either!! So instead, his pitching coach met us all outside and tossed the ball with Daddy, while Daddy wore his sweat shorts, the only short sleeved shirt in his bag, and his boots! Ha! It ended up making for some sweet memories and even funnier photos.
We are SO grateful we decided to come - last second - to San Diego. It's exactly what we needed and I'll speak for everyone when I say that it gave us that extra pep in our step that we've been missing for a while. These past 24 hours have been rejuvenating and relaxing and so so sweet. We love you Dada!
